The best kept secret in Oakland
Since Lambda Chi Chi’s chartering on August 22, 2015, we have worked tirelessly for health equity and to increase access for the most vulnerable among us.
As registered nurses we possess not only a unique set of skills, but a spirit of service. We never shy away from an opportunity to provide health education and screenings, participate in public speaking engagements and to mentor aspiring and novice nurses.
I encourage you to learn more about our sorority, projects, and upcoming events; and join us as a supporter or community partner.
About us
Developing healthy communities through advocacy, collaboration, education, leadership, research, and service
History
Chi Eta Phi Sorority is a professional organization of registered nurses and nursing students. Aliene C. Ewell, RN organized the Sorority on October 16, 1932 with the assistance of 11 other courageous registered nurses. The charter chapter, Alpha, was organized at Freedman's Hospital in Washington D.C. with the dual purpose of elevating the nursing profession and increasing interest in the field of nursing.
